Another gem from Emporio Elaborazioni Meccaniche. A workshop (perhaps, I should now say "atelier") and a brand whose I’m particularly fond, since I saw its genesis from the idea of some friends of mine in Rome. I really like this CX, although, personally, I would have liked it some more sporty and quick. In particular I would have liked an higher riding position... But maybe it's just a matter of taste, and the placid Honda CX probably deservess a quieter riding. But let's discover the rest...

The donor bike is an Honda CX (not a custom model, only the tank is from a CX500C). Certainly, the work performed by the guys at EEM is worth a note, as, as usual, it’s based on creativity and intelligent recycling. Examples? The housing of the front light is from a Guzzi crankcase; the quick-release tail used to be a Triumph windshield; the convertible two-piece saddle; the front light holder, the speedometer housing, the gear lever, the battery case and the plate support are bespoke creations based on wrenches. The dual colour painting is both gloss and matt... Other classy details are: the tig weldings, the electrical cable box, the quick-release seat support made of steel, the leather front light straps, the custom front fender, the leather foot pegs cover... And much more...

E molto altro…
